1. Complete a Travel Entry Form

To be granted entry to the country, visitors from overseas are required to comply with the following special coronavirus rules. All travelers over the age of 6 must complete a “Traveler Entry Form” at least 4 days before their arrival in Turkey. Children under 6 are exempt. The form must be completed online and takes a few minutes. All passengers need to present it before boarding a flight to Turkey and again on arrival.

Officials at the border may check that passengers have filled out the passenger locator form correctly. Anyone without a completed form may be prevented from entering Turkey.

On completion of the passenger locator form for Turkey, a unique Hayat Eve Siğar (HES) code will be generated. The code is a mandatory requirement for traveling to and around Turkey during the coronavirus pandemic.

Fully vaccinated passengers with a vaccination certificate showing they received the last dose of a COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before arrival and travelers younger than 6 years old will not be required to take a PCR test to enter Turkey. In addition, passengers with a COVID-19 certificate of recovery issued no more than 6 months before arrival will not be required to take a PCR test.

Non vaccinated passengers and passengers that do not have the documents proving that they have had COVID-19 according to the stated rules, submission of a negative PCR test result  taken within 72 hours before entering  Turkey or negative rapid antigen test result taken within 48 hours before entering  Turkey will be deemed sufficient.

All travelers must submit a Travel Health Certificate. In addition, all travelers need to apply for an e-visa.

Before returning to the USA effective immediately,
the United States requires that all air passengers entering the country will be required to provide a negative COVID-19 test prior to boarding their flight as per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Many of our travel suppliers have made arrangements for on-site COVID-19 testing right at your hotel (view these travel supplier policies).

Reminder-if you do any COVID testing or seek any healthcare while abroad, please retain all receipts for insurance purposes.
