Effective May 1st, 2021 - Those traveling to the Bahamas from outside of the country will be exempted from a RT- PCR COVID-19 test IF they are fully vaccinated and have passed the two-week immunity period. Proof of full vaccination will be required. To be clear, if an individual is not fully vaccinated, that individual will still be required to provide a negative COVID-19 test where testing requirements are in place. All other mitigating protocols (social distancing and wearing of masks) will remain in place.

1. Complete the Bahamas Health Visa Application

All travelers who have not been vaccinated, over the age of 10, to the Bahamas must complete the Bahamas Health Visa application prior to arrival as well as show proof of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR Swab Test, which was taken no more than FIVE days prior to the date of arrival. The name and address of the accredited lab, where the test was performed, must be clearly displayed on the test result.

2. Second Rapid COVID-19 Test if Staying Longer than 5 Days

On Day five (5), visitors who are staying longer than four nights and five days will be required to take a second rapid COVID-19 antigen test. Those who are departing on day five will not be required to take the test.

3. Opt-in to COVID-19 Health Insurance

As part of the Travel Health Visa application, traveler will be required to opt-in to COVID-19 health insurance that covers them for the duration of their stay in the Bahamas. The cost of insurance included in the Travel Health Visa application fee.

Compliance of pre-departure protocols is mandatory by the Government of Bahamas.
