It is almost time for your trip to Antigua! As you prepare, please be aware of the new travel requirements and entry screening process for visiting the island. The ongoing pandemic causes frequent changes to entry requirements and testing guidelines, so be sure to check this page frequently leading up to your trip as it will be updated with new information as it becomes available.

All arriving passengers (including those who have been vaccinated) MUST have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR (real time polymerase chain reaction) test result, (test for SARS-CoV-2 using a nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal swab ) taken within seven (7) days of their flight. Children below the age of 5 DO NOT REQUIRE a COVID -19 RT-PCR test.

The Government has announced as of October 1st, 2021, all arriving passengers by air must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR (real-time polymerase chain reaction) test for SARS-CoV-2 using a nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal swab taken within four (4) days or fewer of their flight. (This includes transiting passengers). Passengers arriving by sea are subject to quarantine according to guidelines issued by Port Health Authorities.

In addition, as of October 1, 2021, all arriving passengers including returning nationals and residents are required to have received at least one dose of a World Health Organization (WHO) or Ministry of Health Wellness and the Environment (MOHWE) approved 2-dose COVID 19 vaccine or a single dose vaccine to be permitted entry into Antigua and Barbuda. Children below the age of (18) years arriving at a port of entry are exempted from this requirement.

Visitors may be required to undergo testing for COVID-19 on arrival or at the hotel or place of lodging as determined by the Health Authorities.

Fully vaccinated passengers will be required to present a copy of their official Vaccination Record card (Vaccination Certificate) including dates when doses were administered.

Arriving passengers with symptoms of COVID 19 may be isolated as determined by the Health Authorities.

All arriving passengers will need to complete a health declaration form to be shared with Port Health Authorities. Children below the age of 5 years old entering Antigua DO NOT REQUIRE a COVID -19 RT-PCR test.

Before returning to the USA effective immediately, the United States requires that all air passengers entering the country will be required to provide a negative COVID-19 test prior to boarding their flight as per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
